Friends - December 2006

i lent money to a friend at the job. she said her mother's lights were gonna get cut off if her mother didn't pay the bill.

her mother told her to ask me for the money. i felt sorry for her mother so i gave the money to my friend so she could give it to her mom. she said i would get it back on the 22nd (payday).
-When that day came and i didnt receive the money. i ask my friend what happened. She said she couldnt get it from her mom, they are having a fight.
-on the 23 i asked about it again. She still didnt have it. My friend said she will ask her boyfriend for some money to pay me back instead.
-i am starting to see signs of her avoiding me because we usually eat lunch together, but fpr the past two days we didnt. And we usually take the bus together, but today we didn't. i feel a little upset and used.
-I have a feeling that she lied about the whole situation.
-now i dont even know WHEN and IF i am gonna get my $60 back.

ok so here's the deal
mi cuz has been friends with this guy since elementary school but lost touch after thier elementary graduation. mi aunt is still good friends with his mom. well i hadn't seen him for like YEARS and i saw him this past summer and thought he was really hott and have had a crush on him ever since but i didn't think it was that serious. This past christmas eve i went to mi aunts house and he was there. idk how or why, but suddenly, it felt like mi heart was gonna jump out of mi chest......he's funny, cute and has a cute laugh. he seems to like me too. he always looks at me with a smile on his face and we laugh about anything together.....the problem is he's a really quiet and doesn't say much at all and i am like that too but not as much as he is. the biggest problem is, is that i'm afraid that things will get wierd between us if we were to break up or if i tell him and he doesn't like me back.
how do i find out if he likes me without having someone ask him for me??

Good morning and Merry Christmas everyone!!

My friend and I exchanged Christmas presents. She bought me some jewelry which is not my style at all. However I wore it and pretended to love it, but the reality is I will probably never wear it again because its just not me and doesnt suit any of my clothes (Its really for an older woman and I kinda like more boho jewelry).

The dilemma is for a couple of reasons. Firstly and most importantly, my friend and I have a policy of NEVER lying to each other - we tell each other the truth no matter how uncomfortable or painful, we will phrase it delicately or sensitively if need be. The other reason is that I wouldnt want her to be fooled into thinking that I liked that kind of jewelry in case she wastes her money buying another in a similar style.

Was I wrong to have lied to her? If I should have been honest, how should I have phrased it??

me and my bff iwa got in this huge fight about her bf and how she never hangs out with me anymore because her bf gets in the way. and i havent talked to her in a month and i have looked at her...basically weve avoided each toher. my heart hurts so much. i know she misses me because shes been sending me emails saying she has, and that just hurts more. what should i do?

How many girls out there do not wear underwear when wearing American Eagle jeans? I am curious if I am the only one. Some girls say it is gross, but it is so comfortable for me. American Eagle jeans are made of very soft jean material. I have been going "commando" for years. I have never got a yeast infection or any other type of infection by not wearing underwear. I think underwear is useless because you have to wash jeans anyway.

this girl named ____ always makes fun of me becasue im goth . Its not my fault that im goth. i was born into a head banging /weed smoking family that approves of the way i dress..all of a sudden this girl moves down the street and thinks she can control me and my friends. Every year, Christmas has been a BIG DEAL. nobody belives in Santa, but we always bake cookies and leave them out for him. We always decorate a LOT and we always have a big Christmas feast.
This year, my dad didn't decorate, we didn't bake cookies, and he threw my gifts out on a chair and said Santa came early, because he didn't want to get up in the middle of the night.
What should i do to cheer myself up?
Am i being selfish?

So the holidays are here and this is the time, where we get to see friends and family that we really dont see all year round.
Is there that one person/ family member that you really could do with out seeing. You know crazy Cousin Billy, loud Auntie Sally or rude Uncle Buddy or the wacky family friend of you parents.

The day before my school was going on vacation for Christmas and new years break, was a half day. I didn't go to school that day.
