i've known this guy for like ever and now i've suddenly fallen head over heels for him and i don't know why?

ok so here's the deal
mi cuz has been friends with this guy since elementary school but lost touch after thier elementary graduation. mi aunt is still good friends with his mom. well i hadn't seen him for like YEARS and i saw him this past summer and thought he was really hott and have had a crush on him ever since but i didn't think it was that serious. This past christmas eve i went to mi aunts house and he was there. idk how or why, but suddenly, it felt like mi heart was gonna jump out of mi chest......he's funny, cute and has a cute laugh. he seems to like me too. he always looks at me with a smile on his face and we laugh about anything together.....the problem is he's a really quiet and doesn't say much at all and i am like that too but not as much as he is. the biggest problem is, is that i'm afraid that things will get wierd between us if we were to break up or if i tell him and he doesn't like me back.
how do i find out if he likes me without having someone ask him for me??

I've been in the same situation. Honestly try to get that idea out of your head and only see her as a friend and nothing more even thought that's very difficult. If you really trust her give her a hint that you like girls and may be she'll get the hint.

i think you should give the guy some time, i mean, like you said. your really surprised that you like him all of a sudden, dont you think the same things happening to him? me and my girlfriend broke up last year right b4 the summer, when we saw eachother again we couldnt help but go out again. that has nothing to do with this though... i would know this from past experience, it can ruin a friend ship if you break up, or you could still be best friends. so, my advice to you is to give the guy some time, it can sometimes be a scary thing... ive been in a relationship for 6 months... ill tell you one thing, when you are going out with someone you know and you can trust, than you could end up getting married...

and he just wanna be ur frnd...
and if u'll go and tell him that u like him and if he says that he dosen't then u'll not be able to be his frnd also and it will really hurt u ...
so, u should first be his frnd and wait for sometime. try to show him indirectly that u love him...
and if u get some reaction that he also loves u...
then he'll come and propose u and if he dosen't and u think that he wants to say something but shy to tell then go to him and tell him that u love him...
