was in the book shop the other day and saw lots of book on keeping a positive out look on life ect. do you keep a positive out look and do you belive it helps, sometimes even if i argue with my friend even over something small i find it hard to keep positive cos i worry so much

Here's the story my best friend lisa of 6 years decided to just tell me i am not invited to her sister's wedding.The reason because it would cost too much for me to attend.I didn't realize 20 a head was so much i was kept out.Her family and i have always been close so it really hurts me to not be invited.And why did lisa wait til 2 weeks away to tell me.I know she knew long before that.My question is ,why did she wait?I think her sister was a little envyous of me from day one.i just don't get how they can be super nice to me to my face and when i not their ,they talk badly of me.Should i tell this friend to go to hell.This is not the first crappy thing she did to me.

Greg and I have been best friends since college freshman year four years ago, but ever since he met his (first) girlfriend, things have been different. I know, it's supposed to be like that, but he's taking it to the extreme, I'm damn serious. I can even't get a guys night out. He'll say "no, I don't have the time," but he always has time for her. We always used to hang out with each other on our birthdays, and on my recent birthday, he couldn't even drop by to say "happy b-day" (and no call) on my birthday. Worse of all, we live in the same building, and I saw him going out to dinner with his girlfriend. It really hurts! Especially after being really, really close the first few years of college. What should I do? Should I talk to him, or let it pass? I know he'll come around eventually, but I think he really needs to know how I feel. I'm a guy too, and that makes it hard for me to say anything, but I know I just have to.

Hi, There is this friend of mine that was a close friend and she just shut down all communication with me and whenever i do see her she makes up excuses not to have to talk to me. I don't think that she is treating me fairly and I am about to lose her as a close friend. How do I tell her how I feel without having to make her mad at me? I would just like us to be cordial with each other because we live near each other for one thing and the second thing is that our daughters are in the same class at school this year and I don;t want to have to be mean to her infront of our children when we are together in person. This is the second time this sort of thing has happened before that she just completely shut down and stoped talking to me but then she came around but this time I doubt she will because we have definnately grown apart. Please help. Thanks for your times. Any advice reguarding this question would be very helpful and appreciatied.

Well I was resting on the couch when this guy I told my friend he was cute came and drink the water fountain like a few feet away from me & he turned & look into my eyes & smiled at me & i smiled back but a shy kinda smile & turned away but I saw in the corner of my eyes he glanced at me.

After that he when we saw each other again in the gym he smiled at me again. 3 times. Did he do that for just being friendly? Or anything else?

Why is it that some people lose their friends so easily? I can make friends easily but I can't keep them. Please give me some advice on what i should do about this and how I can prevent it from happening again. I seem to lose friends faster than i make friends and its really tearing me up inside. adam had a lads holiday in greece and met a lass there and had a holiday romance, he told her he worked in a bank in sheffield but didnt say which one but she still tracked him down.

she has got a job in sheffield and moved there from plymouth.

adam is getting annoyed as she waits out side his work on her days off to say hello to him even tho he has told her he isnt interested.

apart from involving the police how can he get her to back off?
