Rock and Pop

How is Kurt Cobain a legend? What has he done besides play music. I think the only good thing he has ever done was put the shotgun to his mouth. That the only reason everyone considers him a legend, because he took the easy way out. Ohhh, look at me I'm rich and famous, I get credit where credit ISN'T due. Well the only thing that came from him, is ****-Face from Preacher.

I'm compiling a list, and I'm hoping that all you guitar guys/gals can help!

What songs do you know where the guitar riff is the same as the vocal melody that happens at the same time?

I'm mostly interested in songs from the 1980s-90s hair rock era, but anything will do! A couple examples to help your thinking:
1) Motley Crue: "Dr. Feelgood" (chorus)
2) Black Sabbath: "Iron Man" (chorus)
3) Michael Jackson: "Smooth Criminal" (verses)
4) Skid Row: "Monkey Business" (chorus, and intro--kind of)
5) Guns N' Roses: "Don't Damn Me" (intro/chorus)

"Emo" genres and most mainstream rock is ruining the true spirit of rock and roll. The original messege of rock is sex drugs and rock and roll. Now its more like Ex Girlfriends, Crying and suicide. When is it going to end? what happened to good rock and metal?

So, I just bougth a CD, 'Carry On' by Chris Cornell, and I really love "Safe and Sound"!!! I can't stop listening to it. There is something about that song...great lyrics (as always by mr. Cornell) but his voice is just so amazing. Anyone else think the same? Any other song you like from Carry On?

It jus plays the same melody over and over but like hard and then soft with some other instruments, it has like no vocals also. can u jus name some songs that sound like it or come to ur head, i'll figure out which one's right on my own. ANYTHING will help! also the melody it repeats is very famous.
