well you might have to go BACK IN TIME then cos there are no good ones out now. However, please dig into Testament, yes after 25 years they are still around and kickin azz. Also dig Havochate (Cycle of Pain album only). OH and if you REALLY want to be blown away - email me i'll send ya some Marty Friedman (Dragon's Kiss). It'll make you wish you COULD.

thrash metal: kreator, slayer, sodom, testament, destruction, exodus, iced earth (kinda)
death metal: deicide, death, vader, suffocation, dying fetus, cannibal corpse, cattle decapitation, napalm death, carcass (the last 2 are more like grindcore, but nonetheless still amazing)
good ole metal: iron maiden, black sabbath, judas priest
