Are you thinking of Savatage's version of "Hall of the Mountain King"? It's an incredibly famous melody, used in commercials, from a classical piece by Grieg. Their version was mostly guitars, but included thunder crashes, and really got me hooked on the band.
Go to Ares or Limewire to download this musical piece.
Oh yeah - while the original was called "Hall of the Mountain King," Savatage used that title for an original piece with vocals. They called the instrumental "Prelude to Insanity."
