If so, which piece of music was it?
What is it about the song that brought such emotions?

I've been brought to tears by many classical pieces, but then again, i'm a sensitive girl and music affects me a lot.

I love Erik Satie and listen to his Gymnopedies all the time and I'm looking for tips on any other CDs I could buy with similar mellow tunes by other composers. Perfect for a rainy day!

Hi...
I'm currently playing the E flat Alto Saxophone at school, and I really want to play the B flat Soprano Saxophone and the conducter is fine with that - but she has no music for it. Can the B flat Soprano Saxophone use the B flat Clarinets music or the B flat Tenor Saxophones music, or any other B flat instruments music? Thanks.

if any of you know music genres well, i think you will be able to help me. all i know is that it sounds like soviet era ww2 music. i would love to know what composers wrote these or any that sound like these. (the third link is a flash game, the in-game music is the one i like) i looked up soviet music, but they are mostly happy propagandish marches. i want the slow , sad pieces like the ones in the links.

Don't tell me Leonard Bernstein, 'cause I've heard too much that his interpretations are lukewarm and standard-issue. Apparenly he was great in his day, but that era is over. So, our of Karajan (BPO, 1962 version), Szell (Cleveland Orchestra), Haitink (LSO) and Bruno Walter (Colombia Symphony Orchestra), which conductor gives Beethoven the best performance? PLEASE don't respond if you're just going to bash me for denouncing Bernstein. I like his Mahler, but he's apparently out of his depth here.

How do you pronounce his name? I always say (CHAH-pin) but I know that's not right, that's just the way I heard it when I was 5 and watching It Takes Two with the Olson twins.
