Without using parallel 5ths or octaves.
I'm doing this for my homework and i understand the general idea but i find it extreamly hard to construct them without using parallel 5ths or octaves.

I recently got a lock tune guitar and have been playing it for about 2 months now was in the middle of tuning my guitar down and suddenly I hit the string and get this awful twang sound when I hit the fret, and now it's on each string . Have I broken the guitar what do I do i spent a lot of money on this guitar

I realize to a large degree this is subjective. There’s that old adage that nothing stays the same forever. Still in some instances, change isn’t so awesome. You can provide examples of this from one album to the next or via songs.

Berlin – Pleasure Victim 1982 to Count Three and Pray 1986 – Still can’t believe this was the same band, who went from new wave icons to soft rock crap within four years.

U2 – War 1983 to The Unforgettable Fire 1984 – Old U2 was one of my early favorites but this marked the beginning of the end of my love affair for them. They mellowed out considerably.

The Goo Goo Dolls - Superstar Car Wash 1993 to Dizzy Up the Girl 1998 – Went from being the second coming of The Replacements to Hootie and the Blowfish in five years. Their membership to 120 minutes should be revoked.

Filter – Hey Man Nice Shot 1995 to Take a Picture 1999 – One of the cruelest jokes of all time.

Right before I moved to Cleveland briefly in the '90s I went down there to visit for the weekend, and while I was there my car was broken into. I'm not even going to get into the damage done to my brand new system, but while these punks were in there they stole 15-20 CDs of mine. There was a time when I could rattle off every one that was taken, but I can't do it so easily now. I can tell you this, though...some of those CDs have never been replaced.

It doesn't necessarily have to be from theft (maybe you keep all of your music in MP3 format and something happened to your hard drive, etc.), but has anything like this happened to you? Have you ever lost a considerable amount of music at one time? Have you replaced any of what is missing?
