Why is it that people can't understand that I'm black and like some country music?

Just a few of my favorite songs are :
Hillbilly Deluxe - Brooks & Dunn
Believe - Brooks & Dunn
Broken - Lindsey Haun
and when the songs come on radio I sang ( that's right sang ) the hell out of them and people act like it's a crime to be black and like country. Is that a crime or just knowing good music?

Can you recommend a good electric guitar that cost less than $1000?

My dad told me he would buy me an electric guitar once I learned how to play the guitar.
A year has passed and now im pretty good at it.
plus my Birthday is coming up.
He said nothing above $1000.
Can you recommend a great electric guitar that cost less than $1000?
or as cheap as they get, it is my first so I probably would damage it or something.
