Hi guys did anyone watch Just the two of us on BBC1 SAturdays?
Well 4 a start, I love American people but did anyone notice that Michael Jacksons brother who was a judge, seemed to vote high and give good reports on American singers on the programe or anything to do with America, yet when Mark and Sarah Brightman gave out so many beautiful songs he either knocked them and gave them a 5, or said that they were great and also gave a 5, he did this also to non americans. Yet when n american singer or song with something to do about america sang he praised them and gave high scores even though they were rubbish.
I had that gut feeling thats what he was doing, first night I told my wife to watch when an american singer was on, and to listen to his high remarks and points, it wasnt till the end where there were no americans left that he shocked me by giving a ten score.
He made me laugh, he would tell the singers they were great and should win the show but give out his 5, weird guy.

Me and my brother both play the piano by ear. I was just wondering.. Can people actually LEARN how to play by ear? Cos I saw it on tv the other day... some kids going to classes teaching the 'play by ear method or something'. I thought it can only be acquired naturally?

There are so many latin songs on the American scene. Not being fluent in Spanish, I have not clue as to what they are saying. Same thing with Cajun French music of my native Louisiana. I love Cajun music, but do not know what they are singing about.

im learning how to read music but where on a stave does it appear that you must play a chord ie c chord (ceg)? is it just set out as normal notes? and on a piece of sheet music i have it says c just after the treble cleff and 4/4 - whys that? also anyone who plays piano/keyboard if theres any tips or advice you can give me that'll be great, thanks!
