It's not a band...it is an orchestra composed of several chainsaw musicians called, go figure, The West Australian Chainsaw Orchestra. Sadly enough, I have heard them and it is quite interesting what they can do with those things. The band Jackyl never used one as an instrument, the lead singer just revved the motor up and down to the beat of the song "The Lumberjack". These other guys actually, use the chainsaw to make music.

The band is Jackyl. Also the band Wasp used a chainsaw in their song "Chainsaw Charlie"

It was Jackyl! I don't personally love them...but the song You've Got An Open Invitation To Kiss Our ***" has clips of Gen. George Patton's (actually, the actor's portrayal of him") famous speech in it, and I dig that!

Jackyl uses a chainsaw...I like two of there songs and I think that's about it.
