In other words what songs do you like better as "covers" than as the original version?

For example, I can't stand Leonard Cohen's version of his own song "Hallelujah" -- but I don't mind it when I hear it as performed by Jeff Buckley or Rupert Wainwright or Imogen Heap (among others...)
