Hey guys, just to start off, the Counting Crows have been my favorite band since their first album, "August and Everything After" came out 13 years ago. I have seen them in concert 6 times. I am a huge music fan, listening to oldies, classic rock, 80's new wave, and of course 90's alternative (although I have to admit, my musical "antenna" has not been out for the past few years).

I just have to say that there has never been another band out there that hits me as hard as CC does. They're music and lyrics bring out so much emotion that its almost unbearable at times. In my eyes they could do no wrong.

Does anyone else feel like this? What is your honest take on this amazing band??

Hey everyone. I need help trying to find the title and artist of this song lyric, "I get so weak in the knees I can hardly breathe/speak." I've tried searching everywhere and I can't find it. No, it's not the SWV or the Jojo song "Weak." There's a man singing it and I think it's from the 90's. It's got sort of a techno or upbeat vibe but it's R&B and the line I just quoted is at the beginning of the song and it starts off slow but then gets fast. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again!

What's the name of the song that talks about this guy who died on the day he was suppose to graduate? I think it came out a year-year and a half ago. I think part of the song is "and her mother didn't mind, like i thought she would. And that REM song was playing in my mind"

In the Van Morrison song And It Stoned Me, the choros contains the lines "And it stoned me to my soul...Stoned me just like jelly roll." I've always wondered what jelly roll is. Anyone know?

I am extremely sheltered. I like any and all music except emo, rock and roll, death metal....pretty much anything else that has to do with rocks and metals. Will you tell me some good songs that are out there now?

It's a disco type of thing with the chorus, "shoo bee doo, run run run or fun fun fun", I don't know. I have searched and tried to find it but keep coming up with nothing. It's still played today on radio mixes and in some dance clubs. Please help.

What five songs (looking for songs 20 yrs old or older) that when they come on the radio you instantly tune to a different station, not because they are necessarily bad songs, but you are just so God damned sick and tired of hearing them???? Mine are

5. More Than A Feeling

4. American Pie

3. Sweet Home Alabama

2. Freebird

1. Stairway To Heaven

Honestly people, is there anyone out there that has not gotten their fill of Freebird and Stairway to Heaven yet???

I acquired this test drumstick at a blind storage auction in Missouri. All of the following listed have been etched/carved on the drumstick: Def Leppard, Rick "I'm NOT Rupert" Corack, TEST TEST TEST , Jonathan Carrawy(not sure on spelling of the last name)and R.K. Allen. They are all carved into the stick many times in various places. The "Def Leppard" is all in capitols and pointed exactly like when its on cd's, shirts, etc. I would love to know how to find out more about it. I tried looking on their website but did not join the forum. Only serious replies please!
Thanks so much for your help!

I have an Ibanez amp that came in a starter pack I got a while back. The gain on it is incredible and is the best I've heard on a small practice amp. What are some other good amps for around the $100-$200 price range. I like the one I have but my friend Tim needs the a good, cause he plays alot. The thing he really cares about is the Gain. What cheap amps come with good gain?

It looks pretty sweet but I'm no guitar expert. I've heard it's just as good as a Gibson, not like the Squire garbage fender makes where they fall apart a week after you get them. This is a real guitar here. It's just a standard SG make to look like a clssic, right? Now I know it looks cool, but does it sound good? Tell me what you think of this guitar. (by the way I'm getting the cherry-colored one for my birthday!)

I love music! My favorite song is "Everything". The way the lyrics describe love and how it feels is perfect.

You are the strength
That keeps me walking
You are the hope
That keeps me trusting
You are the light to my soul
You are my purpose
You're everything

And how can I stand here with you
And not be moved by you
Would you tell me how could it be
Any better than this

THEY ONLY MAKE 2 OR 3 GOOD SONGS!!! Hoobastank had "crawling in the dark" and "out of control" good charlotte had "The Anthem" and "i just wanna live" the all american rejects had "dirty little secret". and again, that could be a matter of opinion. i like pure rock and punk. do you agree?

Today I fell in love. I played a Gibson Explorer on a Triple XXX half stack at guitar center and fell in love. There was just as much love with a Flying V too. But I'm just slightly torn. I'll be out about three grand if I get it but it was exactly what I want and need. I do have the money but I don't know if it would be worth it. For those about to say "Go Marshall or get Mesa Boogie" I only like the Mode Four Marshalls with 1960's cabs and I'm not really a Mesa fan. Although I do like the Triple State Rectifiers It's just not what I'm looking for. Thoughts?
