I'm christian.
I like Underoath.
But underoath is insanely christian and why do emo people that slit their wrist listen to such strong christian music?

i think youre taking the stereotype a little bit too seriously.
i dont know any emo kids that actually cut themselves.
and anyone that does cut theirself to underoath
is trying way too hard to be emo

also just because someone is emo, that doesnt mean they have to listen to a specific genre of music

Good music is good music! If there is a Christian message, so much the better (though one answer said that would make him want to slit his wrists!)

As a musician, I've thought about this a lot. Can instrumental music alone be Christian? What makes it Christian? The lyrics?

Any way, I think most people listen to the music before the words and if they like the music, it doesn't matter what the words say. Good or bad!

In my opinion, the metal music is beyond from any other thing. If you are a metalhead than you always have a feeling to dig deep down the metal music. So it doesn't matter if it's a christian band or not, the most important is the music itself. Metal music is one of the most addictive music in this world, once you love it, you will always love it. I am a huge fan for metal music. I love all the genre in metal music, i do not care it's christian band or not, i just care about the music. Like underoath, i love their metal core music, cool music to collect also, especially their Cries of the past album.

Hail to you to love them also.
