I have a small selection of recordings of "Amazing Grace" on my iTunes/ipod, and I love them all, but I'm looking for more. Here is a ranked (by how much I like them) list of mine:
(1) The Neville Brothers (really just Aaron). I have 2 different recordings of this, from the albums: [a] "Live on Planet Earth" & [b] "Live At the 2005 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival".
(2) Aretha Franklin (album = "Amazing Grace").
(3) Fred McDowell & The Hunter's Chapel Singers (album = "Amazing Grace").
(4) Mahalia Jackson (album = "More Gospel Soul").
(5) John Fahey (album = "America"; this is instrumental - 12-string guitar).
(6) The Blind Boys Of Alabama (album="Spirit Of The Century"; this is non-traditional; the music is different)

I would especially like to find some good Country-Gospel style versions. I once heard one on the radio that sounded like a choir in a little country church with that country-style harmony, rough edges and all. I'd love to find that one.
