A song that always got to me was "Runaway train" by Asylum. because it's just so emotional. Other songs that get to me where you're just filled with some much emotion and like you're in another world are songs like "The freshmen" by The vervepipe, "Trouble" by Coldplay, "Speed of sound" by Coldplay, "Lightening crashes" by Live and "Zombie" by The Cranberries. All of those songs have a pretty intense emotion or sadness in it.

Disposable Heroes - Metallica, from the Master of Puppets album, cuz even years after it is written it holds resonance as an anti-war song that puts the soldier's point of view, mere cattle fed to the slaughter of politicians and generals; this is the song that Black Sabbath tried (lyrically) to write with War Pigs. When you hear James Hetfielf bark out the command on Disposable Heroes "Back to the Front" the young infantryman/gunner/ranger etc walking the streets of of Baghdad. Afghanistan etc is in your mind, and the line "Alone I clench my gun" is haunting given the current political instability into which soldiers of too many nations find themselves within. No matter the cause, the dispute, the political imperative, we should all remember that our world creates too many Disposable Heroes

Whatever my favourite busker happens to be playing - it's always good and makes me smile. He looks a bit like Jesus. He's so lovely, being anywhere near him actually makes me feel like I'm coming down with 'flu. Anyone else suffer from that kind of thing?
