Stone Temple Pilots !!!! come on they were wayyyyyyyy under rated and there first album Core went platinum like 10 times...but they still never got the respect they deserved cus they were labeled Grunge when Nirvana and Pearl Jam came out..and were labeled inferior to them...STP is the greatest !!!!

Grateful Dead....they had a HUGE following of fans known as "Deadheads" that would try to go to all their concerts. Many even followed them show to show and set up their venues selling food, tye dyes and other hippy stuff. I went to a lot of their shows. I bought many tye dye shirts, a hat, pants, slippers etc. Unlike most of them though I didn't bother with the drugs and for many it was all about doing drugs and getting off on the music. They allowed fans to record their music so it was the thing among the "heads" to trade bootleg shows. My ex-husband was a "deadhead" and had over 200 concerts on tape. I could pick one up and read off the list of songs and he would identify the place and date.

Beatles. Their influence can still be heard in some of today's pop music. AC/DC gets a second place vote. They have remained true to themselves through it all. (Ever heard an AC/DC "power ballad"? Me neither.)
