Movies - 24 October 2007

This is what I remember, but I'm not sure if this is all correct.

Two boys and one of their parents end up in an old western town. There's something weird with the people living there, like they're part of a cult or something. The boys' parent goes missing. The boys go looking for their parent and end up underground. They find a bunch of people down there. Something happens and the whole town starts oozing green goo. I think the movie might end with someone saying something about a birthday cake.

I can't really remember how long ago I saw this. Somewhere between three to six years ago.

Hi, I need a little help with a translation, in POTC3 (AWE) when Calypso was just released from her human form, what did she said? (screamed). That scene is when Captain Barbossa asked her for her favors, she looked him and then suddenly began to scream, finally she turns her whole body into crabs. To me is almost inaudible, English isn’t my mother language as you can see, therefore is so hard to get her words. Thanks for any help.

I have an obsession with foreign movies especially(only) those from germany!! Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to find some good ones?? Any particular titles..........they must have subtitles in english of course...............I particularly like WWII movies and ones such as "Der Untergang" and such "Europa, Europa" was also good...................i enjoy movies like "Arhtur und die Minimoys" as well!

I manage a movie theatre so I know almost everyone has something to say about how outrageous the prices are at movie theatres. I've heard it all before, so lets leave that out of this discussion.

What I'm curious to know is what effect the prices have on your decisions about when and how often you go to the movies.

Do you go less because of the prices? Do you only go if it's a movie you really want to see? Do you see movies as an escape from home and not worry about the prices? Do you intentionally go on discount days or matinées because of cheaper prices?

Also, if you have any understanding of the economics of running a movie theatre, does that influence your decisions?

I would love to hear anything you have to say about how the prices affect you movie going decisions, but I would prefer not to hear the grips about how outrageous the prices are because I hear that every day.

this guy comes back from the millitary (i think) and has a motorcycle. he and his mom go for a ride and get into a wreck. his mom dies, and this cartoon character pulls him into this cartoon world and saves him. the main cartoon girl has blonde hair and is wearing a white dress (i think her name is holly, but i'm not sure).
