This is what I remember, but I'm not sure if this is all correct.
Two boys and one of their parents end up in an old western town. There's something weird with the people living there, like they're part of a cult or something. The boys' parent goes missing. The boys go looking for their parent and end up underground. They find a bunch of people down there. Something happens and the whole town starts oozing green goo. I think the movie might end with someone saying something about a birthday cake.
I can't really remember how long ago I saw this. Somewhere between three to six years ago.

...you're referring to the 1999 adolescent and macabre horror/chiller, culled from the folks over at Full Moon Pictures (...who did "Puppet Master", "Subspecies", "Trancers", etc.), entitled "Phantom Town"...

There were a few, the zombies off of Night of the Living Dead, and Pascal and Zelda from Pet Semetary. Also, this isn't a movie, but I watched an episode of X Files once when I was like 4 and it was about these inbred people who were killing people, scarred me for life! I still remembered it and would talk about it and how freaky it was and no one knew what I was talking about until I caught a rerun of it on sci-fi channel earlier this year! Finally my mom stopped looking at me like I was crazy when I would talk about it! Also, my older brother is scared of clowns to this day because of Stephen King's It lol

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know what you are talking about. It's like the WORST movie ever. I baught it because I coudnt get over how terrible the acting was. It's about a boy named Jashua and his Granfather dies and he and his sister and parents go to a western town on vacation and the town is called "NILBOG" Which is "GOBLIN" spelled backwards and yes they oozze out green slime. I doubt you can rent it anywhere, but you can buy it super cheap off ebay. Ohh yeah it's called "Troll 2".
