The movie is in black and white, it's about a young, rich woman who goes blind and is diagnosed with cancer or some other life threatening disease. Her doctor doesn't want to tell her about it, and lets her live her life. She ends up finding out in the end. That is all I can remember, if anyone can help that would be so helpful.

Anyone here seen the Warriors? In was a movie made back in the 70's about a gang in New York who are framed for murdering a war lord, and have to fight rival gangs to make it back home to Coney Island. Well I love the movie and think it's a classic. Then of course a few days ago I came to find out that they're going to make a remake coming out next year!!! What are your thought of signiture movies getting remade these days?

I mean, I get the whole idea that since he killed Davy Jones, he must assume the role, but why did Will have to cut out his heart? I thought Davy Jones cut out his heart so that he couldn't love.

So why did Will have to cut out his heart?

And wasn't he already dead?

Preparing to host a "Horror Movie Night" at a college. The university is really intense about movie rights because they were recently fined.

I recently found several website with long lists of Public Domain Movies.

Has anyone actually watched any Horror or Suspense movies that are now Public Domain? Which do you recomend?

Who agrees with me that very often the winner of the academy award for best movie is an overrated film?

I mean for example, there's like a pattern that if it's a movie about gay people (not criticizing them), it tends to be nominated. Now, from what I've read there's a lot of gay people in the movie industry. Now, I think it's kind of unfair that because they indentify with the characters in a movie they dub it as the best. By saying that I mean that I think a lot of times they leave their personal interests or thoughts get in the way of an objective opinion.

What do you think? Please don't answer citing my example, it's just an example...
