when I watched the exorcist for the first time I had the same thing happen. I would fill my day with things to do to not think of it. watch other movies, play sports. just try to realize when you are thinking about it to stop. don't worry, you're not alone, one of my good friends said he got nightmares from watching the new hills have eyes and he is almost 30! it will pass. good lucks!

leave a light on... try to think that is only a movie. What I do is whenever I start to get scared I think of my favorite video game, like the first ones Mario Bros, and just start thinking about the characters and how fun was to play it, and it keeps my mind out of it. lol I'm sorry that you feel bad, I'm 26 and the last time I got scared was when I saw the grudge (the 1st one) I slept with a light on for a week. Everybody gets scared because of a movie at least once in life.

Watch it again with somebody that likes horror movies and you'll realize it's not that bad. It's only a movie and the acting in horror movies is usually bad anyway

Why don't you tell everybody what movie it was. I love movies that disturb and freak people out. If it was anything starring Nicole Kidman or Sarah Michelle Geller you are a giant wussy!

make sure your never alone, and sleep with the lamp on for the next 2 weeks.
always make sure all doors and windows are locked.

also if your going to sleep soon dont sleep facing upwards that will create nighmares for sure

get a dog, a scary one thats loves you and would kill anyone who tried to hurt you.. thats what i have.. he;s a cute little staff, but if you try and put a saw to my leg.. his teeth will be in yours first. :) aww he's so cute
