...the original 1980 production of "The Changeling" was definitely rated 'R'...

...as far as the remake, it's far from being a so-called rumor; according to the recently released production roster at www.comingsoon.net, it is slated to go into production real soon, under the Universal banner, and to be directed by, of all people, Clint Eastwood(?); this production roster listed all motion picture production slated to begin, apparently before some super-wham-a-dyme writer's strike, that's supposed to happen next year...
