Movies - 13 July 2007

I think Batman Begins is the best Batman movie, they followed the storyling of the comic, cause the Joker didn't kill Bruce Waynes parents, & they show how he trained to become Batman. But how come Christopher Nolan didn't use the Batman music from the 1989 movie & other previous Batman films. Eventhough Batman Begins is restarting the franchise, which is a good thing, they still should have used to the music from the previous films, c'mon, Superman Returns restarted the Superman franchise & they still used the John Williams music, but why not for Batman?, did Christoper Nolan not hire him or did Danny Elfman not want to cooperate?, well I hope the music for The Dark Knight is good.

I have just seen Sicko by Michael Moore and I have never been so shocked in my life. As a British citizen I would laugh at anyone who asked me to pay for my medical bills. How can American hospitals treat people in such a way? I know that Michael Moore is a biased film maker and edits everything to suit his political needs but there is no denying the horror of the American medical system. How can any society that supposedly cares about the welfare of its citizens place financial concerns above their welfare? I'm not saying that the NHS is perfect, far from it in fact. The NHS has been guilty of negligence and responsible for deaths which could have easily been prevented. But I would sooner go into the worst run hospital in Britain than any of the best ones in America.

Is there anyone running for political office who is going to attempt to change the situation? Surely even the most ultra conservative Americans can't have anything against free medical care for all can they?

The movie is coming, and it's going to be cool and whatever. But what's the deal with some magazines trying to pass him off as a teen heart throb?

Regardless if the movie is good or not, the poor guy is UGLY. He's got like the stupidest face expressions. I've seen him on the cover of magazines, and think: They took like hundreds of pictures, and they couldn't get one where he didn't look dumb.

Does anyone actuallythink he's attractive?

"Dozens of People spontaneously combust each year...it's just not widely reported." From This is Spinal Tap (actually, I love every line from this movie).

"Ah, Venice" from The Last Crusade, mainly because I wish I was the chick in this scene, haha.

"Drank up me hearties, yo ho!" the very last line of the first Pirates movie, I love it, always gives me goose bumps.

"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" from Gone With the Wind, Rhett is h-o-t hot and that line just makes me love him more.

I know I'm forgetting some, but I'll post them if I remember. :)

How come Malcolm Crowe didn't realize that he had already died? Was He too obsessed with his patient, Cole Shear, so that He couldn't aware with His existence?It was so long time between He was shooted by Vincent and the day when realized everything. I wass totally fooled for this amazing twisted ending best horror movie of all time!

I saw this movie once a while back, but i can't seem to remember the name of it, it like has these very small black monsters or whatever they are, that come out of these like mouse holes in the wall that suddenly appear in the wall at night the people are asleep and the creature gets on the bed and and walks up to the persons face and like sucks the life energy or something through there nostrils or something, anyone know this??? please help! ... thanks.

I hate "A Christmas Story." Come Novemeber to December you can find this on TV almost everyday, anytime. It's annoying and overrated. I can't stand it!

okay - someone please correct me -- LEVICORPUS.... i thought that Harry didn't know/learn that spell & what it did until the Half blood prince book when he did it accidentally on Ron but then realized it's what his dad did on Snape. so then how in the movie when they were in their DA meetings was that spell being done?????

I am just curious if people found these jokes offensive--I was just surprised they made them. Like when Heigl's character says to seth Green's character, "O h I love your curls what do you use t put in them?" and he says "Jew" and then how the flaky doctor that was supposed to deliver their baby goes to a barmitzfa instead. It seemed to be a lot of Jewish, even anti-Jewish comments and discourse in this film. Any1 else feel that way?

The movie I was watching got stuck and I couldn't go forward, reverse OR eject OR turn it off! Stupidly, I forced the door open but the middle part was missing. I got the DVD out though, thank goodness cz it's Netflix. I can't push the door back in so I guess it's broken now huh?

My wife likes horror and suspense movies and this was
like a comedy suspense. It did keep me on my toes as
this poor guy was having one heck of a night. What
we would like to know is: what exactly was wrong with
"Marcy?" She was taking some kind of medication
