How come Malcolm Crowe didn't realize that he had already died? Was He too obsessed with his patient, Cole Shear, so that He couldn't aware with His existence?It was so long time between He was shooted by Vincent and the day when realized everything. I wass totally fooled for this amazing twisted ending best horror movie of all time!

bigdcowgirl got it right except it was not because of his kid, it was because he didnt give Vincent the proper help when Vincent was a kid, and he came back and killed him. So he has to help Cole before he can rest in peace as an attonement.

Yeah that was the whole point of the twist...I got confused as well. But Haley's character said that he could see dead people, and sometimes they walk around not realizing they are dead. So i'm just assuming that's why Malcom didn't know he died because he was so caught up with his own life to even realize that hes dead.

Because he had to help his patient before he could get out of limbo, he still felt guilty for the death of his own son. Yes, it was a great movie, I never saw it coming.

In the kid's "I see dead people" speech he says basically that none of the dead people he sees know they're dead. I don't know that there is a specific reason why, it's just part of the fantasy of the movie. I suppose you could say it's because there's no one is there to tell them they're dead.

two things before i answer your question fully. 1. is that he was SHOT not shooted by vincent and 2. its a movie.
the thing is that the movie is not real. there are few movies based on reality. most movies are fictional such as the 6th sense.
