This is an older movie "After Hours?"?

Question

My wife likes horror and suspense movies and this was
like a comedy suspense. It did keep me on my toes as
this poor guy was having one heck of a night. What
we would like to know is: what exactly was wrong with
"Marcy?" She was taking some kind of medication
and then she did away with herself.
Thanks.

I don't watch the horror ones with
her though.

She had a scar on her body from some type of accident, on her thigh if I remember correctly. Griffin Dunne's character thought is was something huge after seeing the books she had on scars, but it was actually small. Marcy was taking medication for depression because she felt ugly due to the scar.

I haven't watched that in years. It was rather funny in a macabre sort of way.

I like how the movie ends right in the very place it begins. One big crazy circle of a night! There's nothing really horror about 'After Hours' but everyone I've ever Shown it too or reccommended it too put it right up there with their favorite horror films... Just something about it. It was directed by Martin Scorsese and I don't think he's done anything like this since or before. Very suspensful, mysterious, funny!. You way the look and sound of the film work together to make you feel like it really is the middle of the night in a big city with all these crazy things happening and believable interesting, if not eccentric, characters. Did I mention how I love the way it ends? ;-) Two Thumbs Up & A Big Toe Sticking Out!
