It could be for any reason at all.

If not, which movie came the closest, and why??

I am often offended when the film isn't good.

'Gothika', with Halle Berry, was the most recent one. Crap script, holes in the plot... I guess it's the insult to the audience that gets me. Did the makers think all the audience were stupid, or what?

Conqueror Worm, A.K.A. Witchfinder General with Vincent Price. This movie was about witch hunting in the 1800's, where you could point to anyone and say they were a witch and they would be executed in public.

Vincent Price's character had people stabbed with metal spikes into a freckle on their body and if they cried out they were accused as witches. The brutal violence toward women was appalling. They still show this movie on TV every once in a while. It's the only movie I ever covered my eyes while watching it in the theater. I should have walked out.

I generally avoid movies with brutal violence against women (snuff films) because I find those types of films offensive and disgusting.

I was extremely offended by Pearl Harbor. The acting, the pacing, the writing, the action sequences, the racism, did I already say the acting? That movie sucked and I STILL want my money back.

i've got under no circumstances heard of The Human Centipede yet i do no longer think of it is a sturdy occasion to your question. i think of people get indignant while actual issues (like lifestyle and actual activities) are ridiculed. case in point, if somebody made a action picture that confirmed a tragedy like 9/11 in a humorous way it can be quite tactless and that i think of people could indignant with a reliable reason.

Yes, American Me really offended me. It had very graphic prison rape scenes. It depicted the life of a Mexican prison gang member through the decades instead of a hard-working Mexican who lives the American dream.

Pretty much every teen comedy. They are very disrespectful to young women and give the wrong idea about a lot of teenage guys.

no, i'm not easily offended. the closest i get is when a movie is so bad it's offensive to my intelligence. i recently watched 'perfect stranger' (i know, i'm old enough to know better). bad acting, bad script, bad storyline and the ending was ridiculous.
