The movie starts out this guy takes is live-in girlfriend to the airport and she gives him an ultimatum of marry her when she gets back from NYC(?) in a couple of months or it's over. He now plays the bachelor gig with his buddies and tells them of this beautiful girl (Blond) he meets at the airport when he is a teen and gives her his address. She throws it away and her younger sister (Dark Hair) retrieves it and she writes him as her older sister. His best buddy is now getting married and he meets him and his fiancee is the Blond from the airport. He's in a panic and it goes on but he now has a fantasy over this imaginary dark hair girl and he eventually meets her at his buddies wedding and it's the Blonds sister. Okay....The premise of the movie is that everyone who enters the house is filled with rage, and dies....right? Then why doesn't the lead investigator die? I never got that....my brother said that to get the real answer, you have to watch the original movie, not the English version....also said something about the officer actually "being dead already". Any thoughts?

The remake in question featured Tuesday Weld (I'm sure about that) and Ellen Burstyn (almost, but not quite, sure about that). It was based on a French original and was VERY badly resurrected about 5 years ago starring, I think, Sharon Stone. I tried a couple of different search engines but didn't find it. It involves a love triangle and murder and is set at a boys' prep school. If you can help me out with the title of any of the versions that would be helpful, but what I really want to know is the title of Remake #1, which would have been made in the very-early 70's, I think. Can anyone help? Thank you!
