There have been such an abundance of wonderful mind stretching movies that have come out during the past years, but most of them have not come out of hollywood. Have you ever seen the movie k.i.d.s.? or the movie london? or the 1000z of other titlez that you just skipped over because the cover didnt have a famous star on it? If you just take a second to look, there are so many great movies made, but they are usually the ones that people skip over in the store just because it doesnt have a famous actor in it. It's sad that people's minds are so brainwashed in such a way that if it isn't "THE HOTTEST THING" it can't possibly be good, when in fact the stuff that seems to fail to receive recognition is often better than n e thing that was ever commercially popular, the same goes with music, from rock to rap nowadayz, most of the stuff u hear on the radio is the same old garbage over & over, & people are so stuck in that way that they are blind to true talent, ignorance is what i call it, sad. It's not a matter of ideas, which continue to flow like a river. It's a question of what drives movies now --- investors.
The movie which really began this was Star Wars. Big movie, big investment, big promotion. Many have since followed the formula.
Hollywood wants hits now every time at bat, not art or good stories. Actors now fight for that. Like everything else in America, it's about the money.

Yes, they are running out of ideas, always remaking movies from the past. Some turn out good and alot do not. That is probably why not as much people are going to the movies like in the past.

There have been a few good ones but for the most part yes! I am in my 30s but I wish we had better quality coming out of Hollywood both in films and actors/actresses. Everything and everyone is just too political!

They have run out of CLASS. They sustitute it with vulgar language, half dressed girls and pretty boys .
Give me back my youth...."How The West Was Won," "Bye,Bye Birdie" and ANYTHING with Doris Day and/or Jimmy Stewart.
