Of course. Many people have the creative ability required to write a screenplay and youth often have a better imagination and/or life experiences that have happened recently to write about. I think hollywood should hire some teens to write some screenplays cause i swear they have run out of ideas. Who would make a movie about some dumb wannabe gangster punks kidnapping a kid to get money?

EREGON is in theaters now and it is from a book written by a 15 year old. But you asked about scripts.
Yes. I work in the industry and I have seen scripts that looked like they had been written by 9 year olds so why not?!
Jim Cameron wrote the story for THE ABYSS when he was a teenager. Even though he didn't get it produced until later, he had it written down. And the experience of writing it made the next one better and easier.

It depends on how talented the person is. If the teenager is a precocious and competent writer, I'm sure it's possible. It all depends on the individual.
I can't name any teenagers who have written screenplays, but I know of many who have published novels, which is somewhat akin to that.

if you have talent then yes. and at this point if its different from everyother hollywood screenplay, then i say you got a shot. make it different from everything else, something we have never seen before, but yet it still connects with your audience.

i believe yes. I wrote one (i am a teen) but my dreams sort of died, but go for it. Im sure it is beyond good, so yes. I'm positive.
