Much better than I thought. Brad Pitt was actually very well cast as Louie and Kristen Dunst stole the movie as Claudia. The costumes and the tone were excellent. The only downside was that couch jumping cult worshiping wahoo Tom Cruise as Lestat. Ugh! I cannot look at him and think blond anemic eighteenth century French vampire. Even Stuart Townsend would have been a better choice and I didn't like him in Queen of the Damned either

I read the book (okay, I read damn near all the books in the Vampire Chronicles) and was surprised at how much I liked the movie. The part with Lestat on the walls and ceiling, though... kinda was never in any of the books ever... but other than that, it was good.

It was, all things considered, excellent. I wouldn't have thought Tom Cruise was the best choice for Lestat, either, but considering the acting in the sequel, and just how terrible in general that movie was, I'll say it was pretty good.

Brad Pitt, however, was an excellent Louis.

The book was better, of course. But the books usually are.

If you haven't seen it, I recomment, unless you're squeamish.

The first time I watched it I hated it, then I went a second time (why I did that is beyond me) and I loved it. It's a great vampire movie.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I'm not a big fan of Tom or Brad, but I thought thier work in the film was great. It was blessed with good writing and storyline as well

I loved the movie. That was the first time I really noticed Brad Pitt. I tried to read the book but couldn't get through it.

I found the book boring... the movie was okay, but Tom Cruise as Lestat was a poor casting choice.
