First thing, there is apparently an older Phantom of the Opera movie in 'black n' white'. What is it called?

Also, there is always these scenes in the new movie where in black and white, theres this old man with the playing music monkey toy. Who is this guy? Is he the Phantom when older? And he is looking at another older woman who may be Madame Giry when older. Is that her?

I am sure there are more horror movies released per year than any other type of movie. In this day and age with all the horrific things happening in the world, who in their right mind needs to go to the cinema to be even more terrified and grossed out? I mailed in all 4 of my dvd's friday night, and its tuesday night, and they still don't have them? Should i switch to blockbuster because i heard the closer you live to a store, the faster to get the movies, and i live like 5 minutes from one???
