Movies - 19 October 2006

I like scary movies, but find that many of them aren't that scary or they are boring or gross. Any ideas would be appreciated. thanks. (or any good halloween movies)

I watch pretty much everything, but sometimes even a hard core movie fan misses a good film. Name a popular and a not so popular movie that you feel has to be watched by anyone who likes cinema. Can be new, old, foreign, etc. Like I said I watch anything.

When I was young (mid to late 80's), I was flipping through the channels and started watching a movie. Well, when my moms came in the room, she shut it off. I was not allowed to watch it. Well, now I am all grown up and she can't stop me anymore! I want to watch it but only remember one scene.

-> A man running down the street carrying a trash can. Apparently the garbage truck had drove right by his house and he wanted them to take his trash. When he finally caught up close enough to them, he yelled, "hey fellas, I think you forgot something!!!". They hopped off the back of the truck and blew him away right in the road.

Does this ring a bell with anyone?

its where this car races people and if it crashes with another car or truck the car looks like it blows up and a few seconds later the car comes back together as if it didn't blow up the car is like from space or from the future the last time I seen the movie it was back in the 80's somebody please help me try and figure out the name of this movie

In the movie - after visiting Bobbie in the hospital - there's a scene when the group is standing outside a TV shop talking about the upcoming dance competition. There is an old movie playing on the TV's in the shop window. A man in a gray suit and a woman is in a red sequined dress are dancing together. Could anyone tell me what that old movie is? I've tried looking in the movie credits and can't find it...

I saw most of this film on tv last night but I missed about half an hour at the start. I gathered what had happened roughly in the bit I missed as the film conveniently back tracks a lot towards the end.

My question is: Huh??? Can anyone enlighten me as to what ACTUALLY happened. I know this is tough because it's not a straight forward film to describe but I'm completely confused as to what was real and what was in Donnie's world.
