How can I find the name of the woman at the end of Resident Evil with the business suit and glasses on. When the doctor found Milla's charred body, he sent this woman to go get something. They were on the side of a hill by some water. She wasn't mentioned in the credits.

Over the last few years Hollywood has been remaking old movies and ruining them. They have even gone and made movies of old tv shows which were stupid to begin with. I am sick and tired of this. I don't go to movies because they are usually an insult to my intelligence. I would like to see movies which actually are made for grownups. They could start making movies that pay attention to the adult psyche. How many of you feel that way.

Explain why. Did it failed in its intention(s) or was it just plain lousy? Perhaps it didn't live up to the hype or your expectations? Or, were there were only five other people in the theater with you in only it's first or second week of release?!
Did you ever hear or overhear someone speak positively about one of your least favorite movies and feel funny? Did you ever have someone recommend a movie you saw and disliked, but politely thanked them and pretended you'd look into it? I have!

I watched Hostel a while ago, and it has made me think. How is it possible that we, as a society enjoy these films. I'm not a horror/slasher aficionado but I've seen the mainstream run, including Saw and Saw 2. I also watched the original Night of the Living Dead recently (again), and saw George Romero's commentary about how, at the time, this was regarded as so gruesome, and that people were appalled and horrified. This movie doesn't even begin to approach the depravity of Hostel and the Saw movies, but we watch them and enjoy them (I'm talking about society in general - I know some people do and some don't, but that's not the point). What, if anything, does this say about ourselves as individuals and society as a whole? Are we really becoming indifferent to this increasing level of brutality, and if so, are we driving the movie industry to create these movies, or are the movies just successively numbing us to each act and thereby forcing the next director to up the terror ante?
