Over the last few years Hollywood has been remaking old movies and ruining them. They have even gone and made movies of old tv shows which were stupid to begin with. I am sick and tired of this. I don't go to movies because they are usually an insult to my intelligence. I would like to see movies which actually are made for grownups. They could start making movies that pay attention to the adult psyche. How many of you feel that way.

I watch a lot of movies and tape many of them for my collection. I order movies from Amazon and put those in my collection. I have seen both Spiderman movies and anxiously await the third one. Most movies these days are only fit for prisoners anyway. They can't get up and leave and go home when the movie stinks.

I really hate most of the remakes--they've run out of great old movies or even mediocre old movies to butcher, so they've moved on the bad tv shows! I mean, the Dukes of Hazzard was unbearable to watch on tv, why would I want to pay money to sit through it in a theater???
That said, there are still some people making wonderful movies--the Lord of the Rings trilogy stands out in my mind, the three movies were near perfection to me.

I feel that way. It's so irritating the movies they have been making lately. Then they jack the prices up at the movie theaters. It's ridiculous! It seems like all the movies they make in Hollywood should just be released as a dvd rental & save us some money!

its a wonder what kinds of movies you do like. All i hear in here is complaints from people like you. Bet you havent seen a movie in years. Probably stuck in a prison wishing you were at a movie instead.

newer movies lack originality, and personality. theyre all wimped out and simple. mostly i hate the newer crime flicks. they are being ruined the worst. crime films should be violent, nasty, hardboiled, and just plain mean. newer ones...dont feel liek oldschool ones like the getaway with steve mcqueen. teh only good crime flick of the year was running scared. it had a great story, was not not for kids, adn had moments of suspense, shock, and awe.

Yes!!!!! Whatever happened to good writing? Whatever happened to creativity? The only intelligent movies (usually...sometimes...) are independent films. I think there is a gigantic conspiracy to make Americans as thoughtless, mindless, and controllable as possible. ;)

I used to, but now I just don`t care. I don`t search them, I don`t go to the cinema to see them. But still if I rarely watch any now, it really makes me smile and laugh, so I take it just like comedy...

I don't go to the movies.
What you said has a lot to do with it.
How about parking, and noisy people?
