Yeah it is to be expected if you had watched Scilence of the Lambs Most people watch horror movies for the blood and gore and carnage Think Texas Chainsaw Massacre and SAW those movies went way far beyond what happened in Hannibal

It's an interesting querstion. If you only saw the movie, you might well think it went too far. But if you read the book first, then you'll know it didn't go far enough. The scene in the book was actually long, quite detailed, and very darkly humorous. The movie played it down substantially.

I thought it was brilliant but would have been better had Jodi Foster reprised her role as Clarice. As far as going too far, that was nothing compared to the stuff in Saw and other movies. If you were offended by it there is always a stop button, if you get my meaning.

Silence of the Lambs is an awesome classic. I home TNT doesn't cut out scenes. Hannibal is also good, but not as good as Silence.

Okay, if you don't want to see someone's brains getting eaten, then don't go see a movie about a guy called "Hannibal the Cannibal"

Hey. It was absolutely cool and within the character of Hannibal. For me it was clearly the highlight of the movie.

It's an adaption of a book..I guess i don't understand your question. Are you asking if that was too gruesome? Have you seen some of the movies that have been made over the years?

Go too far? If you are offended by this, then don't watch. People watch horror movies for the gore. Next time you want to watch a movie, read the reviews first.
