Back just before VHS home movies caught on, Pepsi was the first to put an advertisment in the front of a VHS movie in order to allow the studio to lower the price of movies. Previously, VHS movies were $70 per movie, with the start of ads, they went to $20. What movie was that?

In American movies, the British character is normally a Professor, Scientist or the Villain. I know there are several exceptions, but in a lot of films (especially low budget), the token Brit falls into one of these categories.

So in the UK when writers "need add an American character" what are the normal traits or professions they display?

Look at what has been produced the last couple of years. Very few films stand out. This year has been particularly bad. OK, Pirates was a cute film and fun.
Is it all about gadgets and techology now? What about the plot and the actors, where have they gone?

I'm not sure but it's kinda like a remake of Wizard of Oz. Judy Garland ISN'T the one who played Dorothy. It was not a musical...It's kinda creepy remake version. There was this speaking wall who ate an egg. There was this boy with a wheel as legs. The witch has a collection of facial masks. There's a chicken. There's also a pair of red shoes. Hope i make sense...or am i just dreaming.
