The Navy found they had too many officers and decided to offer an early retirement bonus. They promised any officer who volunteered for early retirement a bonus of $1,000 for every inch measured in a straight line between any two points in his body. The officers got to choose what those two points would be.

The first officer who accepted, asked that he be measured from the top of his head to the tip of his toes. He was measured at six feet and walked out with a bonus of $72,000.

The second officer who accepted was a little smarter and asked to be measured from the tip of his outstretched hands to his toes. He walked out with $96,000.

The third one was a grizzly old Captain who, when asked where he would like to be measured replied, "From the tip of my penis to my testicles." It was suggested by the pension man that he may want to reconsider, explaining about the nice checks the previous two officers had received. Do they have a dual personality disorder? I mean, I like old 80's love ballads and I don't think they're cheesy. It would be demeaning to my feelings to call them cheesy. If someone thinks they're cheesy, why would they like them?

I'm a latin guy so I guess I take my romanticism seriously. Are we that desensitized nowadays to not take into consideration the romaticism in music as part of the quality of the song? Or is it just the style of the music [not the lyrics] that's tuning people off?

I noticed a whole cookie sitting on top of the kitchen trash last night. A whole cookie! Throwing away a whole cookie is a sin in some parts of the country! I pick up the cookie and inspect it. Looks fine to me, no spooge marks or gunky stuff stuck to it (yes those are valid words). So I take a bite…right about that time my wife yells at me, “don’t feed that cookie in the trash to the dogs it fell in the dirty dish water while I was doing dishes.”

I member being in my fifth grade class, and my teacher Mrs. Martin, told me and my class that something happened to the country, and that some buildings went down. Like any other fifth grader I didn't know what the Twin Towers were, but than no matter if I knew it or not, after school I went to my afterschool program, and we were watching TV, and we saw the constant repeats of the building on fire and collapsing. The after school program closed 10 minutes after it started. What was eerie was that when we went outside to wait for our parents to pick us up, it was quiet. No one was walking on the sidewalk. There were no cars driving, it was very quiet. That is probably one of the weirdest moments of my life up to know!
