Why do we answer here at all??

After all, most of us are nameless, faceless strangers to each other. (At least most of us do not know most of us).

Why then, do we spend so much time answering questions ranging from "How to change the world" to "What is 1+1"?

Quick question, is this creepy?

I had to pick a monologue I could "identify with" for an acting class. Well, I picked one where a serial killer talks about how it feels to commit murder and rape and I do plan to read this to my class.

If you were those students, how would you react?

"On Yahoo Answers": How does it feel when ...?

How does it feel when someone asks a question and then seems to vanish from the scene?

After you have replied and so have many others, there is no response from the asker in spite of some answers being very good and appropriate. Not even a simple action of selecting one of the answers as the best answer - or a comment of thanks!!!

And what if it seemed to be a genuine distress call - and you had to spend time and effort to respond correctly !! How do you feel if the questioner does not provide any feedback at all.

I play electr. guitar & lead vocals for my band, but I just hate the songs my boss makes us play what can I do

And... please don't say quit the band because last time I tried, it wasn't a pretty situation... The boss is a pretty serious guy, if you know what I mean.

How is a person suppose to like have a rock collection if every single rock in this world is different?

How will it ever be complete? Won't it kind of be sad if you only picked the pretty rocks for your collection? Don't you care for the ugly ones too? So does this mean you pick your friends the same way? :'(
