This has turned into something not unseen before. Now I am colored. We have been segragated and singled out as 'Top Contributers.' It doesn't make us any different than we were yesterday or last month or the day we all signed up on Y!A. Yet, I have noticed how people are developing an 'us against them' mentality. I've always been bothered by sitcoms jokes that go way over my head. Then when I don't understand them I feel dumb, because the audience is obviously laughing at something I failed to get.

In an episode of married with children Al Bundy is in his shoe store trying to get an overweight woman into a pair of shoes. This is the dialogue.

Woman : I don't understand. Before aerobics, I used to fit in a size 6. I guess all that jumping expanded my feet.
Al: I see you've must've fallen on your butt a time or two. Woman: How dare you say that to my face!
Al: Well, I'd say it behind your back, but my car's only got a half tank of gas!

What does Al bundy means when he says he;d say behind her back but his car's only got half a tank of gas. Does that joke have a meaning, or is that a random comment? I don't get it. Does anyone?
