It is both happy and sad. I am happy that the little girl thinks her dad is coming back for her, even if it really her uncle, but the main point of the movie was the utter obsession of these 2 men...well actually 3 ... to ruin each other. ...and the fact that they ruined themselves in the process.

Any transformation is possibly slow, planned, and slowly evolves right into a clean fact. every time latest circumstances are actually not sustainable a metamorphosis will deliver a pair of recent and better fact. to that end, the main injury are people who created the will for exchange. Insustainability is often brought about by technique of undue stresses and lines on a equipment of assessments and balances till it particularly is no longer practicable. Transformation of our nature does not inevitably start up with a destruction yet with a popularity of those stressers that are actually not sustainable. In tyrannical societies the stresses of keeping the tyranny are continually modern-day till a revolution brings everybody to a snapping factor the place destruction and rebuilding are mandatory to deliver a pair of extra sustainable society.

Sadistic.

The story is being told by an aged magician to a younger magician's daughter basically telling her how he set up her father to take the fall for a girl's death so that another magician would compete with him and keep this older magician in business long after he should have retires and what's worse get the girl's father to kill the other magician so that the older magician winds up with all the money.

Hmmm.

hmm...that's a good question. in my opinion i think it is sad ending bec the movie is more focus on Hugh Jackman ( how he lost his gf, seeking for revenge, obsessed with his fame and failed to revenge)
