This has turned into something not unseen before. Now I am colored. We have been segragated and singled out as 'Top Contributers.' It doesn't make us any different than we were yesterday or last month or the day we all signed up on Y!A. Yet, I have noticed how people are developing an 'us against them' mentality. Is this a new form of racism?? Watch what happens from here on in, bet you it changes the way people respond to each other. Watch this and you will see what I mean. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/divided/

at first when I seen your question I laughed.. sorry.. but then when you pointed out that website I remembered how I read ALL about that in psych class. It does effect people. I have been on YA for awhile but got bored and stopped coming around. But at the same time know that the tag you have makes ppl trust u more...

It is an interesting experiment. I enjoy the notoriety I have achieved on Y!A. I have been featured user on several international Blogs, and have gained Blog friends from all around the world. I have been given gifts and awards from Yahoo, and met many other users and Y!AT members face to face. I believe in Y!A, and i am proud to be a part of a plan that could be of great benefit.

Really, it's nothing at all.

I'm the same as when I logged on yesterday, just a bit happier today as I've had a crap week.

Sometimes I answer tounge in cheek. But top contributor or lacking an orange banner, it's all the same to me, I just want to ask and answer questions.....

You might be on to something there,but.....
I think the envy about this orange tab under your names is as much visible as the levels others are on.Often I have seen criticism by "low levelers" towards the "high level crowd".
The orange sticks out but I will not like you less than last week when you were like "me"....wink

Bottom contributors unite! The top contributors are out to dominate the best answers and starred questions.
Down with good answers. Moon the starred questions.

Or just go on like always, whatever.

Ah-- - wait till you're a Level 7 it will probably get worse! The "us against them' mentality is an unfortunate part of human nature I'm afraid.

If it helps at all, I see everyone as the same. It's just another topic. I think that eventually orange tags will become the majority, though. Where's the fun in that??
