He didn't like the casserole,
And he didn't like my cake.
My biscuits were too hard...
Not like his mother used to make.

I didn't perk the coffee right,
He didn't like the stew,
I didn't mend his socks

I pondered for an answer,

many years ago I wrote down some of my favorite love songs on a peice of paper so that I could remember which ones were on the tape I made. while I was in another room my boyfriend (at the time) saw the piece of paper on the table and started to read it. it read like a love note and he got mad. its been so many year that I can't remember exactly what it said but it went something like this.... I miss you, I love you, you are my lady,I cant live with out you ect...

well needless to say I had to explain the note. I played the tape with those songs on it and all was fixed.

I would prefer the countryside (near water), though not too isolated, maybe in a pretty little village (Midsomer Murder style - without the murder obviously!), with a nice pub, pretty church, duck pond and all that - but city within easy reach for the odd night out and shopping!
