I like Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Crystal Method. All of these reflect a very good talent and a definite style that is quite unique.

Kraftwerk is the first, and the others mentioned (in other answers) are all solid. Personally, I think Human League and Depeche Mode are the most revolutionary, and a couple New Order songs (Bizarre Love Triangle comes to mind) are awesome dance songs.

Venetian Snares, Autechre, Jean Michel Jarre, skinny puppy, Kraftwerk, Prodigy, Crystal attitude, Brian Eno, Orb, Naut Humon, DJ Spooky, blend carry close Mike, Otto Von Schirach, Aphx Twn (besides the reality that he has given up on the wonderful track interestingly), my spectacular Bjork, ... i'm forgetting many others... they're all inclusive and are very influential to a minimum of one yet yet another... they're substantial because of the fact they push stumbling blocks.

Although pretty commerical i've always been a big fan of the chemical brothers. you just can't go past them for the sheer variety of songs and collaborations over the years. they are also _amazing_ live.
