.. any of you old enough to remember the theatrical release or even the VHS might recall the original version had a Harrison Ford narration - a la Sam Spade harboiled detective style.. I so lament the fact that said version is entirely unavailable on DVD.
I realize film snob purists will claim narrative voice overs are the lowest form of cinematography and a hallmark of the B-movie (I understand it was a studio decision, against Ridley Scott's protestations)..
..But I would love to see them release the original version on DVD.. Its long been my favourite film - but the Director's cut just doens't do it for me the same way..
