I just recently started to tune into a blues channel on XM Radio and I am enjoying the "down home nitty gritty, blues". But what do you like about the blues...just interested?

The honesty of most players. The smaller venues, easy on the wallet, meeting and talking with the musicians. It's great when you can get the personal touch. Three weeks ago I saw Watermelon Slim play and doubt if I'll see a better show this year.
I'm a Chicago guy too!

It's some of the most honest music out there. With the Blues there is no fake pain or angst. It's all real pain and truth in the lyrics. Plus the blues boasts some great musicians.

The blues bars in Chicago rock!! Talented musicians, Relaxing atmosphere. Good dancing music

Its great music, and is the roots to most music of today. Just sounds good to me.
