I'm 16 and am just gettin into the singing thing cuz I think my voice has finally gotten over the cracking think. But when I try to hit higher nots I crack and after a certan point my voice dies. Singing is in my family (which are all baritone) and they can all hit really high nots. I can't even sing to LA on the Do RE ME scale.

Now, I've been hearing that song literally since I was a baby, and I can remember as early as about age 3 wondering why they were saying, "that's the end up little girl". (It took me about 17 years to learn that they weren't actually saying up.) However, now I'm learning that song for guitar class and I can't help but wonder why they made this song. It seems like a jerk/chauvenist/stalker's theme song. I wonder what their motivation was for writing it. As a criticism for the attitude? Was that actually a popular attitude at the time? Does anyone know the background to this song?

Ok...Its been awhile since I had to make Road trip CD's....so I am asking for suggestions please. I have to keep in mind that my son and grandmother will be in the car...so the songs need to be clean for the most part. Artists I like: Linkin Park, Evanescense, Bare Naked Ladies, Live, Tracy Chapman, Kanye West, The Offspring....basically any artist that has had a good song. It does not need to be the 'popular' or top-40 song...just good ole driving songs...any suggestions? thanks!

I found them on the ground at a casino. Have never seen them before... most of the writing on it is chinese so I dont know whats in it. I know Colbert worked on the Daily Show before he got his own 30 mins. Comedy Central portrays them as friends, but I think they're stiff competitors (bet Jon was relieved when he won the Emmy). I think Jon is funnier, but what do you guys think?
