Ok...Its been awhile since I had to make Road trip CD's....so I am asking for suggestions please. I have to keep in mind that my son and grandmother will be in the car...so the songs need to be clean for the most part. Artists I like: Linkin Park, Evanescense, Bare Naked Ladies, Live, Tracy Chapman, Kanye West, The Offspring....basically any artist that has had a good song. It does not need to be the 'popular' or top-40 song...just good ole driving songs...any suggestions? thanks!

sounds like you got some good mixes already going on in your brain....dont be afraid to think of some goldies that even your grandmother might enjoy. I like the song "easy like sunday morning"or "what a wonderful world".....i love 80's music....do acdc.....or add some ccr.
good thing about mixes is that it doesn't matter whats on them.
my favorite band is coheed and cambria

On road trips, I like to listen to oldies music. The songs are usally upbeat and sometimes humorous which helps keep me awake. It's also good since you have grandma with you. Mix up the music so your constantly listening to different styles, and your mind doesn't get cast in a mold.

We listen to different music, but my music is clean and I listen to rock, so I'll tell you what I like to listen to when I'm going on a road trip (which I do every Saturday):

Third Day, POD, The Waiting, Newsboys (older stuff like Going Public and Take Me To Your Leader, maybe even Step Up to the Microphone), Andrew Peterson, Caedmon's Call
