Normally, I'd say Jon, but Stephen Colbert's earned my respect more after that dinner where he stood in front of the president and made fun of him to his face. That took balls.
So...I dunno, really. Jon Stewart makes me laugh harder, but Stephen Colbert is more gutsy.

Jon and Stephen are good friends and pretty much work together. If you look on the credits of their shows, you will notice the other persons name. And both of them are funny in their own way. They mostly write their own stuff and even each others stuff. However i would have to say i like Colbert a bit more, mostly because he has a bit more creative show.

Jon Stewart seems to come off as more likable in a personable sense, and he seems to be pretty witty in a general sense.
But I think Stephen Colbert is funnier, and more likable in the sense of his comedy, and wittier when it comes to his comedy too.

Yes, Jon Stewart is better and he is cool. Colbert is good but his character is made up and this guy is friends with Bush so that alone turns me off.

Both are on the same plane I think but Colbert has my infinite respect for his showing of Major Huevos at the correspondents dinner in Washington. Check it out some time.

Actually I think Colbert is funnier of the two, but not by much.
