I have confusion on the following:
They have done their lesson/lessons?:
In the dictionary(cambridge) lesson is a countable noun. So it seems that lessons would be right.

But, the following correct sentence is taken from a dictionary(cambridge):
They refuse to work for their living
--- where living is also countable but it means a period of time in which a person is taught about a subject.

thanks for any clarification !

A friend of mine corrected me to use the word 'are'. I assumed when you reference a band you reference the band as a whole, not its individual members, am I wrong?

I'm working on a description of my work experience for an application to continue my position (which renews every year). I want to briefly describe the work that I am currently doing. I work at this place only a few hours a week, but continue in their employ. I want to show that my work for the company I'm mentioning in this sentence will not interfere with the job I'm applying for.

So, how can I express the idea of working regularly, but not very much, for this company?

"I also continue to work _____ for ."

Please help if you can think of any words that would fit.
