My grandma lived from 1889 until 1979 in the North West (ie Wallasey, Wirral). She often used the word "Nuckin" as a term of endearment when talking to children. Does anybody know where this word comes from or what it actually means? I cant find it in any dictionaries so I am unsure of the spelling. Could it be a Cheshire word? I would love to know.

There is a six-word novel that was written in the 1930's. Instead of revealing the story now and setting the bar, I'd like to see what other's are able to come up with first.

I'll post the pinnacle of all "six-word novels" in my additional details once answering seems to have ceased.

How can I describe these Monsters literrally?
I'm writing a horror trilogy and there monsters I want to include in my novels but writer's block is giving me a hard time how to describe them literally in English.

I'm not the best when it comes to making graphics but I tried illustrating them so I can see how other people will describe these monsters:

An major area of current interest in the global macro world, is how to apply some of the new mathematical models coming out of quantitative finance to global macro. So far only a few hedge funds have tried, and none have really succeeded. The only area in which success could be claimed is in commodity trading *advisors*. Any future work in this area is likely to look to involve area's of momentum trading work that has come out of the quantification of behavioural finance.
